This album, their first in about four years, was recorded entirely in Los Angeles. Guest vocalist and pianist Herb Alpart and Bill Cantos, who has also toured and recorded with Lisa Ono, and mix engineer Austin Deptula, who has been nominated for a Grammy, were invited to the album, and it features rap, making it a free-thinking album that goes beyond the bounds of instrumental music. After seven US tours and six appearances at SXSW, the band is expanding its scope of activity, releasing albums in countries such as Korea, New Zealand, and Canada, and appearing at jazz festivals. This is a powerful work that is full of the current activities of the members.
