The instrumental band "Yamazaki Chihiro + ROUTE14band," the Japanese band that has performed eight times at SXSW, one of the world's largest music festivals, has teamed up for the first time with Golden West, a popular songwriting team from Nashville, USA, to release the song "MY Hero (Higher)" worldwide on June 15, 2023!
In 2019, Chihiro Yamazaki + ROUTE14band had a shocking encounter with the Nashville-based songwriting team Golden West (Taylor Nash, Brittany Knott) in Tennessee, USA.
Golden West is a team that handles everything from songwriting to production.
To date, he has written songs for numerous artists in genres such as country, pop, and hip hop, including the new-age country superstar duo Dan + Shay, who have won three Grammy Awards, have more than 8 billion streams worldwide, 39 RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications, and eight No. 1 singles at country radio, and country singer Thomas Rhett, who has reached No. 1 on the country charts in the United States and Canada and was nominated for a Grammy in 2017.
Chihiro Yamazaki + ROUTE14band collaborated with them for the first time in 2022. They started making music from scratch and hit it off, and with an explosive chemical reaction of ideas, they completed the composition, lyrics, and arrangement on the same day. They successfully fused their genius sense of melody with their wealth of experience in bringing ideas to life.
The song being released this time, "My Hero (Higher)," is filled with the determination to aim higher, and was written with the image of an ending theme song for a fictional movie.
This song was produced in 2022, but it was recorded and arranged many times until both parties were satisfied with it, resulting in a more refined form.
